Spring Season-Flag Football

Co-Ed Spring Flag football for ages 6 to 18 for the 2025 season.

Practices: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00pm-7:30pm
(some teams end at 8:00pm)

what is Spring Flag: Spring Flag is a five on five non-contact  football game that runs through the VMFL during the months of April,May and June. Each team comprises of  six to fourteen players (usually) and games are played all on one day in a Jamboree. The games are  25 minutes each.

Fall Tackle 2025 Season - Football and Cheer (To be Updated)

Practices: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00-7:30pm
(some teams end at 8:00pm)

Start: July 2,2024
Divisions: All football teams & cheer
END: NOVEMBER

 For Tackle Football, optional practices are scheduled for

Wednesday evenings or Saturdays pending age group

and player/coach availability.

 

Games and Competition:

 Games typically start in late August and are held on Sundays at parks throughout Greater
 Vancouver, up to 2 hours in length, with the youngest age groups playing first and the oldest age
 groups playing last. There WILL be games on the long weekends, including Labour Day weekend
 in September.

 Cheer participants attend various games throughout the season. They also compete in an annual
 full day competition hosted by the VMFL in November.

2025 *BCPFA Football BC Membership Fee- $28.00 (Doesn't expire), Football BC Competition Fee -$10.00 (doesn't expire), Other Affiliation/Development Fees (FLAG, BCPFA) (Doesn't expire) if participant played in Spring season, $43 if they did not play in Spring season; if you have 3+ children, contact secretaryndfa@gmail.com for sibling rate.
**Insurance, practice shirts and bows are included in the cheer price.

Refund Policy:

Written notice is required.
     Before July 31: 100% refund*
     Between August 1 and the first regular season game: 50% refund*.
     After the first regular season game: No refund.
    *All refunds will be charged a $30 administration fee. Football Canada and BCPFA insurance fees are
      annual and non-refundable.

   Spring Flag Football- No refund.

Equipment: 

 

 Football players must bring their own cleats, practice jersey (an oversized t-shirt is ok!), water bottle and mouth guard (available for purchase at our Concession). Gloves are optional. Our Club provides helmets, pads, game/practice pants and jerseys - to be returned clean at the end of the season.

 Cheer participants must wear runners and athletic clothing and bring a water bottle. Our Club
provides a cheer uniform - to be returned clean and undamaged at the end of the season.

 Note: In order to receive equipment and uniforms, a deposit cheque must be provided. This
cheque will only be cashed if you do not return all this gear in good, clean condition.

Volunteer Commitment: 

 

 We are a 100% volunteer-run non-profit organization.
All families will be required to volunteer multiple times throughout the season and to provide a volunteer deposit cheque.

       This cheque will only be cashed if your family does not meet its
       volunteer commitment. Details will be emailed in July.
